GAMELAN SINGAMURTI – Nunas Taksu

Nunas Taksu (Seeking Guidance), a four-track EP by Gamelan Singamurti, transports the listener to a unique auditory realm that both advances and complements gamelan. The end effect is a unique sound that honours its historical roots while remaining unique. Radical new textures are created by cello, clarinet, vocals, and studio manipulation, and they blend very well with standard gamelan performing techniques.
