About Us

RUAS STORE is an independent record store located in Georgetown, Penang.

Ruas Store started in February 2018 and officially started running (by store) in April 2018. Ruas is carrying Vinyl, Cassette, CD, Book/Zine & etc. We try to carry local/regional stuff that is released by DIY label/distro as much as we can.

We are not just about running a record store; we also organize our local DIY gig/show/event in Penang. We are part of ZERONOWHERE along with Tandang Record Store (KL), Basementz Rekord Store (KL) & Charles Bronson Bar (KL), organizing shows in Kuala Lumpur mostly.

Ruas Record Store is not run full-time; we have our day job. So sometimes our store is opening late from operating time. Sorry for inconviance! But most of the time, we open, we never close at 11 p.m., primarily closing late. Hik!

Our operations hours are:

**Weekdays – Tuesday to Friday (7 p.m. – 11 p.m.)

Weekend – Saturday & Sunday (3 p.m. – 11 p.m.)

**Except for Monday, If you are coming to our store, we prefer you to call us first (+6016-444 3094) before coming to avoid any frustration. 🙂
